Second session started off well and ended a little rocky... The weather was not in our favor this week. Mother Nature gave us gloomy skies and lots of rain. But who doesn't like to play in the rain!
Tie-dye was still a hit even though the rain came down when we were creating our master pieces. At least the rain washed away the mess.
This week we got a new horse. Her name is Firefly (White Horse). She's in her prime age to hang with the campers and recieve all the love as she retires on our farm. Ava our horse caretaker and head counselor introduced her to our senior horses and help campers meet her. This is all still new to her but she is warming up nicely. During the week our other horses got a little makeover. They seemed quite impressed with their new style.
Crafts....crafts...more crafts! The rain really put a damper on going to the lake but we stayed busying making all sorts of crafts. Campers made beaded cactus, bird feeders, marble paint book marks, slime, laynards, friendship bracelets, plastic cup shrinky dinks and more.
Campers created their volcanoes and Heidi helped them make it erupt.
We love the animals. Below are some campers giving some pets to Charlee (the farm dog). Charlee lives on the farm with her mom Roxee. Leslie Webster is the owner of the dogs.
We also have some baby pigs that arrived. They are bottle babies and love the attention from the campers.

We never skip out on swamping. Campers found a ton of frogs down at the lake in the surrounding swamps. Nature Sallie helps teach the kids how to hold the frogs and care for them. They are very gentle. Sometimes Nature Sallie will bring them back to the Nature Center to be viewed all week. She releases them back to their homes on Friday.

This is one of our counselors Aiden. He is a great counselor and the kids love to mess with him. One of the activities this week was a spa day. Campers convinced him to let them paint his nails. He's a trooper.
The lovely rain made it very wet but don't fret, our counselors know how to make it fun. They embraced the rain and went sliding down our grassy hill in the rain. Who knew it made a great slip and slide in the gloomy weather.

Every year we try to get a picture of all the counselors. Without them camp wouldnt run as smoothly as it does. We appreciate all of the hard work they do everyday. Thank you counselors!

Meet the Head Counselors! They are a great bunch. We love them and hope your campers do too! Thank you counselors!

This week C.O.W is.......... Head Counselor Ava Boruta (Top Left) of the Cow-A-Bungas, Head Counselor Grace Weber (Top Right) of the Asparageese, Assistant Counselor/Lifeguard Maddox LaMothe (Bottom Left) of the Barnyard Bandits, and CIT Avery Chomic (Bottom Right) of the Asparageese. Thank you counselors for you hard work day in and day out!
