Welcome to the Lake
The lakefront we use to swim in every day is Prince Lake. It is located at the back of our property connected to Bald Mountain.
Our swimming area is broken up into three areas: Beginner, Intermediate, and Swimmer.
Swim Areas:
-
Beginners Area is roughly 2-3 ft deep, there is no test required to swim in this area. Anyone is able to swim here. A green wrist band is provided to campers that can only swim in this area. They are not allowed to go in the blue or red areas.
-
Intermediate Area has a slide and a test is needed to be able to swim in this area. A blue wrist band is provided to campers that can only swim in this area. Once this test is passed campers can swim in the intermediate and beginners area.
-
Swimmers Area is over everyone's head, a test is required to be able to swim in this area. A red wrist band is provided to campers that can only swim in this area. Once this test is passed campers can swim in all three areas.
We have six Red Cross Certified Lifeguards on duty during lake time. We also have head counselors on "dock duties" as aquatic observers to help watch the water and sand areas to maintain safety.
We have dedicated areas for changing into swimsuits, and porta potty's for the restroom at the lake.
We have an area dedicated to storing medical supplies for minor and major injuries, called our Med Shed.
Other things to do at the lake include: playing on the beach, canoeing, playing octoball/gaga ball, beach volleyball, counselors bring, cards or small crafts.
Campers will keep all swimsuits, towel, swim shoes, and sunscreen at the lake all week and return with everything on Friday.
We have clothing lines that each group will hang their swimsuits and towel to dry on for the next day.
