Hooray! Summer is finally here! We are reunited with new and returning friends :) We are so excited you are here. Thank you for kicking off the summer with us. This session was smaller because some friends were still in school, but we still made incredible memories!

New summer means new tie-dyes! It’s back and better than ever. We had a blast on Wednesday creating new tie-dyes. Most campers join in on the fun and create their own designs for their white plain shirts. Campers that wish to participate either purchase a UHF shirt or bring a white shirt from home to bring back to life with vibrant colors. It’s definitely a messy activity but that’s part of the fun!

Campers made some awesome chalk art!

We had a theme day on Thursday. It was Wacky Tacky Day. Our activities were definitely wacky! Some included wacky hair, wacky taffy, etc.

It's all arts and crafts until we cuddle some animals! Campers did a variety of crafts this week! Awesome job guys!

What is farm camp without some horseback riding... Campers learned how to ride a horse. They had the option to ride by themselves or with a counselor leading the horse. Can't forget about the donkeys, they need some lovin too!

Another Nature Sallie activity was wind chimes. Campers used nature materials and some beads to create a beautiful wind chime to take home!

The heat was tough but the lake at the end of the day is always the best part. Cooling off after the long hot day and all the running around is rewarding. Even if you don’t go in the water there’s always something to do!

Nature Sallie has many great activities. The campers can never resist the flowers, mud, bugs, and all things reptiles. Sallie helps campers catch frogs, snakes, turtles and other creatures that lurk around the wetlands of the farm. She has tanks for each reptile created just for them. When we catch them, we keep them for the week and release them on Friday. She teaches the campers about the creatures they catch.

Nature hikes are never a dull moment. Nature Sallie loves taking campers on hikes through our trails. This week she made flower weavings. The campers found wildflowers and placed them in the weaving.

Goats, Lambs, Calves, Ducklings, Piglets, OH MY! Campers enjoyed spending time with all of the new animals born on the farm this year. Who doesn’t love to cuddle cute baby animals!

This week we had two birthdays! Happy birthday to our assistant counselors Rhys and Brooke! Rhys had a birthday on Wednesday and Brooke had a birthday on Friday. We hope you had an amazing we at camp and an amazing birthday. So glad we got to spend part of it with you!

On Friday, counselors vote for our C.O.W. This week’s counselors of the week are Head Counselor Ty (middle) of the Howling Hyenas, Assistant Counselor Jacob (right) of the Scooby Moos, and CIT Joe (left) of the Howling Hyenas. Thank you for starting off the summer strong and being the best counselors!
