Almost halfway through the summer.. But no worries. We have made a memorable summer so far! Our counselors and campers have made this summer unforgetable and worth the work. All the friends, animals, countless activities and long hot days at the lake make the summer amazing.
The weather was playing tricks on us throughout the week so we stayed back from the lake. We did group photo scavenger hunts. Each group walked around the farm and took photos as a group doing fun things.
At Prince Lake we swim and fish! Campers had the opportunity to learn and try fishing.
Tie-Dye Wednesday! We make our plain white shirts into something fabulous.
One of the specific tie-dye designs requires a pole. Campers got to make poles to use for their Shaboree Tie-Dyes.
Christmas in July! Campers used graham crackers to make gingerbread houses. It was a treat! They got to make personal size houses and eat them after. Who doesn't love eating their craft.
All of our poultry animals get the most love. Campers love to hang around the chickens and ducks all day. Some campers helped guide the teenage ducks to the pond with Farmer Andy.
We have Tie-Dye shirts but why not Tie-Dye pancakes! Make them fun and colorful and then get to eat them, I'd say that's a win.
Our runner up to the poultry animals is the kitten condo area. Campers could cuddle and play with the kittens all day if they could.
More lake fun! Campers have many things to do at the lake. Not everyone likes to swim everyday so counselors bring card games, crafts, play octoball, or build sand castles.
Everyday we always have crafts. Too many to show but they're always busy. The craftshop building is the main hangout.
We love our counselors! They help embrace the summer fun.
This week's counselor of the week goes to head counselor Madeline (left) of the Pigs in a blanket, assistant counselor Kennedy (middle) of the Howling Hyenas, and CIT Ben (right) of the Pigs in a Blanket. Thank you counselors for your continued hard work over the past five weeks of camp. We appreciate you!
